9-HI identified many problems with the technology development lifecycle in that, despite all the advances we're making in technology, decision-making is never easy and has yet to meet the needs of our leaders. Specifically for government agencies, the existing process was siloed, inconsistent, and buried in spreadsheets, making it difficult for teams to collaborate and ultimately scale. My role was to lead the MVP design to define the product’s visual and interactive foundation, craft the core workflows to manage context across teams, and shape a user experience that's built for high-stake decision environments. Once completed, we translated the product vision and early traction into a clear investment narrative, creating a pitch deck that helped secure 9-HI’s first $3M in funding to continue its growth. My role finished with designing the UI for the platform’s risk-AI capabilities, which allowed teams to review risk signals and track success metrics through transparent reporting. Altogether, these pieces not only strengthened the product’s foundation but positioned 9-HI for its next stage of maturity and expansion.
